Can we use carmine which is not halal in blusher?

Q: I just need to find out about carmine in make-up such as foundation,I read that it is not permissible for use in lipstick (See Here) ,what about foundations,blush and powders.I was not even aware that they were used in these cosmetics,I thought they were mainly used only in red lipsticks

Q: Can we use carmine which is not halal in blusher??

Answer

It will be permissible to use makeup such as foundations which have carmine in it.This is because carmine, which is derived from insects is not impure. [i] The prohibition applies to consumption. It was for this reason lipstick with carmine was ruled impermissible.
