During salah if someone clears his throat (creating loud sound) or cough many times will his salat break?

Question:

During namaz if someone clears his throat (creating loud sound)many times will his salat break?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If the clearing of the throat or coughing is done without any excuse, then it will break one’s salah. However, if it is done either unintentionally or due to an excuse of perhaps clearing one’s throat for recitation, then it will not break the salah.

If there is a sore throat and due to illness one clears the throat on multiple occasions, then the salah will not break because of the valid excuse. [i]

(("يفسدها "التنحنح بلا عذر" لما فيه من الحروف وإن كان لعذر كمنعه البلغم من القراءة لا يفسد))…قوله: "بلا عذر" العذر وصف يطرأ على المكلف يناسب التسهيل عليه قوله: "لما فيه من الحروف" أفاد بالتعليل تقيدا لفساد بالتنحنح بما إذا حصل به حروف كالجشاء إن حصل به حروف ولم يكن مدفوعا إليه وكذا السعال يفسد إذا حصل به حروف بلا ضرورة أما العطاس فلا يفسد وإن حصل به كلمة أفاده السيد قوله: "وإن كان لعذر الخ" منه التنحنح لإصلاح الصوت وتحسينه أو ليهتدي إمامه من خطئه أو للإعلام بأنه في الصلاة على الصحيح كما في الفتح قوله: "كمنعه البلغم" بالرفع فاعل المنع قال في الخلاصة:
